Why Might Your Anti-Wrinkle Treatment Not Last As Long As You Expect?

Why might your anti-wrinkle treatment not last as long as you expect?

There are a lot of variables in the treatment;
What areas are you having treatment for?
How strong an effect do you want? Have you had it before and what did you like ( or not like) about it?
Who did the treatment?
What product was used?
How dilute was it?
Were the doses correct?
Was the placement accurate?

An experienced medical practitioner needs to assess your individual anatomy and lifestyle and wishes and will ask you lots of questions to ensure you get the result you want, and get the result to last as long as possible.

Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine in Ireland and you must see a medical doctor or dentist for a face to face consultation to assess you for suitability.

Medicines like Botulinum toxin are dose dependent, which means the more you put in the stronger the effect, and the longer it lasts.

The doses need to be precise, so that you get the effect you want, and avoid side-effects.
There are a couple areas where we have to keep the dose ultra-precise, and these include the forehead muscles frontalis, and the muscle around the mouth, orbicularis oris.

If too much is put in the forehead you can get a brow droop which is completely avoidable with an experienced skilled medic.

We keep the dose light and therefore it may not last as long as treating between the brows.
For fine lines around the mouth we have to go very light so we soften lines and avoid affecting the smile.
