I’ve been a doctor for 33 years- it has flown by! I absolutely love what I do and have lots of energy and enthusiasm to keep learning and taking care of the people who share their concerns with me.  It really is a privilege. I trained in Cork and then spent 15 years in the UK as a GP, which was great. I worked in Lambeth in London for ten years, which was very deprived, and the work was challenging but worthwhile. I came home with my sons in 2004 when my marriage ended, and I continued to work as a GP. One of my colleagues told me about Botox ®  in 2007 and off I went down the fascinating path of aesthetic medicine.

I love meeting people, finding out what’s going on in their lives and using my medical training and anatomy knowledge with artistic skills to gently and safely reduce the negative signs of stress, illness and time passing. When you look fresher, you feel better, and you face the world more positively. We see people skip out of the clinic and we just love what we do.

I teach other doctors, dentists and nurses and blend this with lecturing and presenting as a Key Opinion Leader internationally. I went back to GP work during Covid and closed the Carlow clinic, and now it’s a lovely new phase to develop our brand new clinic (coming soon) and expand the team and treatments. Leah has been a rock during the last 4 years and we’re delighted to have Louise on board, taking on lots of the non-clinical work, so Leah and myself can focus on the face to face work. Leah Coffey qualified as a Beauty Therapist in 2017 and went on to study a further year, holding a diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy (ITEC & CIDESCO). Leah has completed advanced training in London for the Norwegian Breakaway Cruise Line before beginning her work with Dr Eithne Brenner in 2019 where she is now a Senior Aesthetician.

Leah’s passion is working closely with her patients to achieve the optimum in skin care health and will always give her patients the time and care to ensure that patient satisfaction is prioritised. Leah is continually expanding her knowledge and expertise in all areas of skincare by keeping up to date with all the latest e-learning and in person training.

Dr Brenner’s Clinic stocks a wide range of medical grade skin care, which allows Leah to create bespoke treatments and homecare plans for each individual client so as to guarantee the best possible results. Leah loves nothing more than creating a relaxing and calming environment during treatment and sending her patients out glowing from the inside out!

Leah specialises in the OBSERV skin analysis, HydraFacial, Chemical Peels, SkinPen, IPL and our medical grade skin brands stocked at clinic. Her favourite treatment is SkinPen because it can treat such a variety of concerns for example, improving fine lines, pigmentation, acne or surgical scars and enlarged pores and her favourite skin brand in stock is Obagi Medical because there is something for every skin type and concern with guaranteed results from correct usage.

Leah is continually expanding her knowledge and expertise in all areas of skincare by keeping up to date with all the latest e-learning and in person training and is now also an Ambassador for Obagi Medical.

Louise is an outgoing, dynamic business leader with extensive experience in many sectors including pharma, entrepreneurship, and consultancy. She is a pivotal member of the team at Dr Eithne Brenner Aesthetic Medicine, ensuring the smooth running of the clinic operations and infrastructure, as the staff return from their Covid roles, and expand and develop the core aesthetic services and the medical training centre.

Louise qualified with a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from ATU in 1997.  Her career started in marketing in the pharmaceutical industry and after two years moved quickly into a senior sales and business development role managing large hospital accounts for big pharma throughout Ireland.  Business development and relationship management was key to her strength in excelling in her field.  After spending 17 years in sales and marketing in this Industry working for large and small pharma, in September 2014 she became a co-founder for an award winning new business establishing a new and innovative IoT product/service in a growing and expanding market with global opportunities in the manufacturing/transport and mobility industry.

She was chosen to complete the Female High-Fliers Accelerator at the DCU Ryan Academy that completed in May 2016 and won Businesswoman of the year award 2020 for Innovation with Network Ireland.

Louise has now started a new journey in the world of Aesthetic Medicine where she manages Dr Eithne Brenner’s Aesthetic Medicine Clinic.  Having previously worked for Allergan selling Botulinum Toxin in the movement and spasticity environment she has acquired a complex understanding of the benefits of the medicine.  Her role will involve re-establishing the clinic post Covid, re-branding and overseeing the marketing and business development of the excellent service and skincare treatments available.  The key focus for clients is to help them to be more like themselves again, offering tailored, client-centric aesthetic treatments and medical grade skin care solutions in a highly skilled environment with Medical Doctor, Dr Eithne Brenner and Senior Aesthetician, Leah Coffey.
